they're so beautiful - i like them because i like "tiny worlds" in general - small scale versions of every day objects to underscore the compelling things about them.

i love that you have open doors on some of them, not all of them are closed off and sealed away like so many model houses you see in tiny towns

Eeeeee! I adore these! I'm taking a class on terrarium making this weekend, and I know I'll soon be addicted. Would love these for a project, or simply to adorn my fireplace mantel.

Blogged!

Oh I have always been fascinated with all things teeny tiny...our family went to Madurodam (sp?) when we were kids and that was great fun. Your work is lovely and most importantly draws the viewer into a believable world in smaller scale!

I made my first terrarium yesterday and would love to build a village in and around it! Your creativity in building tiny worlds is outstanding.

These are so fantastic! I don't think my big clumsy fingers could produce something so tiny and detailed. I think these would lovely on my miniature shelf...
I'm glad I found you blog, I noticed it on your etsy shop.

Your shelf cities remind me so much of my hometown of Baltimore. The city has many wonderful colonial era row homes, some of which have fallen into horrible disrepair and some have been refurbished and brought back to life. Each street and group of homes is unique, much like your creations. Work has taken me away from my city for the time being, but I always imagine one of your shelf cities sitting amongst my books or in my windowsill, reminding me of my home. Keep up the great work, you never know how it may be influencing others!

What I like about your work is the size of the buildings and the tiny details - they are like a tiny fairy village :)

Hi there! I found you via Cosmopolitan Sugar and I adore your work. These would be the absolutely perfect addition to the new tress my husband bonsai'd this past weekend. We were just having a conversation about miniature pagodas, but I love the idea of something untraditional.
