I've been struggling with whether or not to share a photo of my house here. Not because I'm not proud of it... But because there is still so much to do. It's far from perfect, but i know just how lucky i am to have a house to call home. And every day we get a little bit closer to making it our own.... So here it is, well part of it anyway. Ive been working incredibly hard this year to get it to look the way I've dreamed it would since my grandmother first gave it to me (Four years ago). I was taking a bath when my husband to be busted in and handed me the phone. She said "Chrisi, I have something for you.... Oak St.". That was by far the best bath I ever took!

Beautiful photo of your home...I love the stone and the front garden looks so lush.
I have photos of my new terrarium in its early stage...I'm still waiting for the rattlesnake plantain you recommended to arrive in the mail. In the meantime, I'm experimenting with native Geranium robertianum. I had forgotten about it in my garden. It does well in shade— I'm not sure about its moisture tolerance.
The container I've used is 6" by 6" by 14"...it seems to look larger in these photos...My family agrees that it needs some tiny houses to make it complete.

Thanks again for your advice. I'll let you know how it grows. I've already planted a second container (an old fish bowl) just to use up some leftover moss and ferns...I'm feeling an addiction coming on.

Oh, it looks great Heidi! you'll have to let me know how the geranium works out. I imagine it will if your leaving the top uncovered. Im glad your enjoying making them!

Your home is beautiful! I love how you have so much green growing up around your porch, and wow... I can't imagine a better gift! That's amazing of your grandmother!
