Well, I'm not so good with rhyming and whatnot, but here is a text i sent to my family after a short little visit with some curious finches...
Today the most amazing thing;
A married pair of finches, gold,
looking for a home,
came tapping at the window.
From the sill they stared at me,
tapping, tap, tap, tap.
Gold heads tilting this way, then that.
Perhaps great friends we would have made,
if not for the willow cat...
