Yesterday, while still in the meadow portion of our walk, we noticed these delightful yellow spots dotting the green. I'm really not sure but my best guess on this one would be that its an Appalachian groundsel. They really were quite lovely blowing back and forth in what little breeze there was. We would have liked to stop and admire so many other things, but the sun was pushing us quickly towards the woods.
