Everywhere i go i collect acorns, stones, pine cones, and feathers... They fill our home. Today i found myself having to ask if Stephen minded, he said no. When i left home for college my parents gave me a miniature basket filled with proportionately small acorn clusters. It had belonged to my Nana. Unfortunately neither made it as far as this house... I am constantly having to find new ways to display these collections, a job which never ceases.

This morning When i let the dog out, i could see so many ripe strawberries all the way from the porch... So i tiptoed through the dewy grass and into the raised beds soil to see what i could see. There were 6 ready to pick, and they snapped as i plucked them from the vines. I'd say there will be about 10 more ready in the next few days...
Two years ago we started an L shaped rasied bed for growing organic fruits and vegetables. With last weeks slight expansion It now covers roughly 115 square feet or so. This year we are dedicating one whole side to starting a berry patch. We've got three blackberry bushes, 2 raspberry bushes, and about 35 strawberry plants. Today we proudly stood in the kitchen and ate dirty strawberries out of a Pyrex measuring cup together.

One of my favorite things about spring has always been the wild violets and forget me nots (which i now know are called bluets). They filled our front yard when i was growing up, and we'd fill all of my moms bud vases with them... I tried fruitlessly to transplant some into my yard here, but alas, no bluets. I suppose i will continue to try though...

I have a doctors appointment tomorrow morning that has my social anxiety running full force... I have a lot id like to accomplish tomorrow and really hope it dosnt pose any problems.
