Dude, I'd be lying if I said this wasn't one of the main reasons why I got out of the handmade business. People loved to buy from my shop (the brick and mortar), but I'd overheard one too many conversations where "customers" came in specifically to figure out how something was made just so they could copy it. What's worse, the woman (if I can even call her that) who bought my business was the guiltiest one and is still doing this WITH HER OWN CONSIGNORS!
