These Beautiful lichen are living quite well on my dogwood.
Its a rather old tree, and not quite a healthy one either...
However, the lichen and fungus inhabiting it seem to be doing well...
It was raining this lovely day so the greens looked so bright
against the dark browns and grays...
Ill have to share the many other wonderful life forms living here.
My parents planted this tree for my grandmother before i was born...
So its at least over 25 years old.

i watched the planet earth on rain forests last night and there were some awesome shots of fungus growing. you should check it out.
i know i know. we had to own them as soon as we saw them... i watch them way to often, i could probably recite most of it!

How did your dog make out?
He turned out to be just fine. Just wanted to give us a scare i suppose. he's good at that :)
